Carlo Di Roma Eyeshadow Trio

I stumbled across the Carlo Di Roma makeup display tucked away in the back corner of my local Dollar Tree. Okay, I moved last week, so it’s no longer my local Dollar Tree, but it was when I bought this a month or so ago. They have a lot of interesting things, some of which Recessionista at Nouveau Cheap has already reviewed. I’m going to review the “Vintage” lipliner/brush combo here pretty soon, I promise!

This company doesn’t put any actual color names on their makeup, but according to their catalog, this is 003. I guess that means they don’t name their colors at all. Too bad that the colors in 007 aren’t really my style; I could play Bond girl.

003 contains brown, taupe, and pink eyeshadow. I especially love the pink, but all three are pretty impressive. The eyeshadow is slightly shimmery, surprisingly highly pigmented for the price, and it feels so soft when you put it on. Its staying power amazes, too. It lasts all day with no creasing and very little fading. This little dollar store eyeshadow has actually become my go-to shadow over the past few weeks. I’ve been wearing it almost every day, and I couldn’t be happier with it.

If you have a Dollar Tree handy, check and see if they have any Carlo di Roma. This eyeshadow will be your best-spent dollar in a while.

Thanks so much for the shout-out. :) I am so happy I’m not the only one who loves these little eyeshadows. I agree that they’re truly amazing for the price. I think I need to go back to my Dollar Tree and get this trio–the colors are lovely and I bet they look so pretty on you.

Hurry up with that lipliner review, will ya? :)

I am so disappointed, after hearing you and Noveau Cheap talk about these products, I’ve been haunting my local Dollar Tree, and there’s no sign of them! The employees probably think I’m weird the way I’ve been slowly traveling up and down each aisle, combing every place with my eyes, hoping that these are hidden away somewhere. I’m starting to think us in the midwest get everything later than everyone else because this isn’t the first time it’s happened!

I like your blog, been reading for a while. :) I’m glad I’m not the only gal who prefers cheap/drugstore beauty.

Recessionista: It’s the next thing I’m going to review. :)

femputer: I’m glad you like the blog. That sucks that there are no Carlo di Roma products in your local Dollar Tree. :( I hope they get them in before too long.
