I was afraid that the vibrations would make this mascara wand difficult to control. I’m bad about jabbing myself in the eye even with ordinary mascaras, but oddly I had no trouble. Maybe it counteracted my shaky hand by shaking in the opposite direction. Dammit Jim, I’m a doctor makeup blogger, not a physicist! I don’t know these things.
You can see the results for yourself above. I didn’t see any real increase in length. I guess it did coat my lashes pretty thoroughly, but they wound up looking a little spiky, which is not a look I go for at all. There was a modest boost in thickness, but nothing to write home about. I don’t see how this is worth double what I usually spend. It’s an adequate mascara, but without the hype and the gimmick, no one would even notice it. If I’m going to pay more, I want more, and I didn’t get that here.
If you’re dead-set on trying a vibrating mascara, then I’d say go with this one. It will be the cheapest one on the market unless some other drugstore brand springs one on us before July, and I’d hate for y’all to blow $30 or more on a marketing fad. If you were looking for a true revolution in how we do our lashes, well, I’d advise you to keep looking.
