I picked this up at Walgreens today. Blue is one of the polish colors I have a particular weakness for (along with orange and hot pink), so I couldn’t help myself, especially for the price. The pictures don’t really do this justice. It’s much brighter and a bit greener. I would almost call it a metallic turquoise, and yes, that’s as awesome as it sounds. There were a bunch of other terrific colors in the display, but I contented myself with one.
It’s a very sheer color, so what you see above is three coats. I also had a problem with bubbling. It was so bad I actually took off the polish and started over, thinking I had done something wrong. The second time, I waited longer between coats, but there was still a little bit of bubbling. It’s barely noticeable this time, though. I think most of the problem lies in how long it takes this polish to dry. I admit, I wasn’t timing it precisely, but it took most of an hour. The wait was longer than an episode of Stargate: SG-1; I can tell you that much.
Once you get it on and dry, though, it’s a very cute polish. I’ll report back next Friday with how it stood up to chipping and general wear and tear.
